Mission

In 2019, the mission of the Municipal Airsoft League of Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua “Paso del Norte” is to achieve the objectives necessary to fulfill the League’s vision. We have much work to do because Airsoft is not a regulated sport in Mexico—there are no rules, organization, structure, or control. Our goals are to establish these so that the Municipal Airsoft League of Cd. Juárez can serve as an example for other municipal, state, and national leagues that will be formed in the future. In Ciudad Juárez, as Airsoft athletes, we are committed to leading this effort in a safe, organized, and coordinated manner through the Cd. Juárez Institute of Sports and Physical Culture.

We aim to clearly inform the public and our institutions about the sport of Airsoft to reduce ignorance and the stigma associated with Airsoft replicas through newspaper reports, sports news, educational workshops, and showcasing various events. We will work to create the first international Milsim event in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua, and promote sports tourism in the city, as countries such as the USA, Brazil, Chile, Spain, and Germany are already doing. With the support of the Cd. Juárez Institute of Sports and Physical Culture, we aim to establish the city’s first official Airsoft field, located between Avenida Plutarco E. Calles and López Mateos, next to Parque Extremo del Chamizal.

Vision

The Municipal Airsoft League of Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua Paso del Norte envisions creating the first safe and renowned Airsoft League in Mexico. The first Airsoft games in Mexico began over 12 years ago and have been played every weekend since. The advantage of having a league endorsed by the Cd. Juárez Institute of Sports and Physical Culture and the Independent Government of Cd. Juárez is that it allows for a regulated, organized, structured, and controlled sport.

Airsoft as a sport can break stigmas and stereotypes by using 1:1 replicas of real firearms. Regulating Airsoft provides the benefits of creating a secure database for the League, the Institute, and the Government, ensuring clarity about who is an Airsoft player and preventing confusion with authorities. It also allows for an official identification for the Municipal Airsoft League and access to a safe space in the city to carry out League activities.

Airsoft is a sport of military simulation, strategy, physical and mental tactics, discipline, camaraderie, honor, respect, integrity, civic commitment, and values that benefit our youth. The League’s vision also includes engaging young people in community activities such as cleaning and restoring parks in the Chamizal area, and participating in friendly and recreational activities with authorities to boost community morale.
